By tightening facial and neck skin and muscles, wrinkles
can be smoothed and sagging reduced. Incisions are made
in the hairline around the ear, but scars are hidden
for the most part in the hair or creases in front and
back of the ear. Evidence of the surgery usually disappears
in about a month.
When lines and wrinkles are deep, a face-peel-chemosurgery
might be desirable. In this procedure, a peeling agent
is used to remove the outer layer of the skin, and as
a result, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more
elastic.
