Due to hereditary factors and environmental influences
as you age, it is not uncommon to develop drooping upper
eyelids and puffy bags under your eyes giving an unwanted
tired look to the face. Lower and upper eyebag removal
are very common procedures for both men and women and
are frequently combined together, creating a fresh more
youthful look to the eye area. Eyebag removal surgery
(Blepharoplasty) can also be performed in conjunction
with other facial surgery, such as a facelift.
What this procedure involves?
The procedure for lower eyebag or upper eyebag removal
is performed under a general anaesthetic, or in some
cases a local anaesthetic and sedation, by our highly
experienced medical team. In upper eyebag surgery, incisions
are made following the natural crease of the eyelid,
in lower eyebag surgery, incisions are made as close
to the lower eyelash as possible. Working through these
incisions, the surgeon carefully removes excess fat,
and trims loose skin, closing the incisions with fine
sutures.
